Linsey Knowles BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy,
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and a Member of the Health Professions Council.

Linsey is a fully chartered and state registered Physiotherapist, qualifying in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy.  Physiotherapy training provided  Linsey  with an in depth understanding not only of joints, muscles, nerves and the mechanics of the human body but of a patient’s whole general health. Linsey recognises this in every assessment and treatment plan.

In 1998 Linsey specialised into musculoskeletal/orthopaedic Physiotherapy. Continuing to work within the NHS provides a wealth of experiences and knowledge.
Linsey has always enjoyed her roles in sport especially working with the under-18 England Badminton squad and providing a team lead role in the Manchester Commonwealth Games.

Linsey qualified in Acupuncture treatment in 1999 with further qualifications gained in acupuncture in 2000 and 2005.
In 2000 Linsey set up the Physiotherapy practice within St George’s Multi-therapy centre and embraces her role alongside leading chiropodists specialising in musculoskeletal and biomechanical problems.

In 2004 Linsey qualified to provide corticosteroid injections for joints and soft tissues and went on to gain a further Diploma in Advanced assessment and treatment in orthopaedic medicine.

Her specialist interest is the treatment of spinal conditions and lecturing in the assessment and treatment of chronic lower back pain. Continued professional development is vital for your care and Linsey keeps her clinical skills up to date by attending courses, meetings and working closely with GP’s, consultants and podiatrists. Linsey’s young family also keep her on her toes!

Lisa Physiotherapist

Lisa Marie Smith (BSc) Physiotherapy,
Qualified member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists)

Lisa trained at Manchester University qualifying in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy. Lisa is fully chartered and state registered and is also a qualified member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists). Lisa has worked for the NHS since qualifying and has worked in the private sector for 10 years specialising in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal and orthopaedic conditions.

Lisa is a highly skilled practitioner in both the assessment and treatment of necks and backs, in particular whiplash associated disorders. Lisa also has a special interest in shoulder problems and post surgery rehabilitation.

Vestibular Rehabilitation is becoming increasingly popular for the treatment of patients suffering from BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). This condition can result in patients suffering terrible dizziness and loss of balance which is very distressing for the patient. Lisa is very happy to be able to provide this (in some cases life changing ) treatment for patients suffering with BPPV.

Every patient is treated as an individual and will receive a thorough physical assessment which will also involve taking an in depth history about the patients general medical health and wellbeing. This will ensure that each patient will receive the most appropriate treatment for their particular problem.

Lisa is very happily married to her rugby playing husband which has given her lots of experience in the treatment of acute rugby injuries. Unfortunately for Lisa this means she is never off duty!!
